How was your weekend?

Mo 19. Okt 2009, 11:56

Hi all,

My weekend was great. We went to the Münsterland with our Spielegruppe (do you know an English word for this?). We stayed at a former stable that had been converted into a holiday home. We played various games for hours, walked in the country, cooked together and had a lot of fun.

What did you do? Anything special?

Regards,
Matamoe

What abaout game crew or game team?

Sounds great! The weekend I wanted to start on Friday afternoon was cancelled by sneezes ... I had to sneeze 15 times, one after another! Horrible!

And the damned cold made me stay in bed the whole Sunday ...

Friday I was home alone. I quite enjoy those evenings. First I went to my fitness 'institute' and worked out, then I took a long hot bath, fixed myself something to eat and then went on the couch to watch one of my favourite programs. After that it was book and candy.

Saturday, cleaning house and pampering my husband. The poor guy was completely exhausted from a night out with the boys. Cooking (lamb roast with potatoes and salad) and couch with a book. Later on our neighbor came over and we ended up trying some of my fruit liquors....

Well, Sunday it was my turn to recuperate from alcohol related side effects, so it was a slow day and a lot of pages..

So yesterday we hanged around on our couch and looked TV.

On friday I was at my barber an got new hanks.

I hope you understand my report. Please correct my text, if it is not good. I want to improve my English.

So yesterday we hung around ... and watched TV.

to hang, hung, hung - hängen, hing, gehangen

In the States 'hanged' is also ok.

In the end it was not so bad. But it started with an extreme headache on Friday and we were forced to cancel an planned weekend in Berlin. :-(
Saturday I just relaxed with reading and cooking and yesterday we took a long walk through our valley. Then I began knitting a vest, I didn´t do that for such a long time!

Quote Blumenkind: Berlin is so wonderful and excitingly

Either Berlin is wonderfully exciting/excitingly wonderful - or Berlin is wonderful and exciting.

(Don't ask me for a grammar explanation.. . Caro explains better than me)

Poor yoshi and caro...

My weekend started with cleaning my appartment, washing cloth and that plot went through the whole weekend... even yesterday I was still cleaning here and there... Saturday I had a short breakfast, cleaned here and there, then went to training. After training I cooked some thai curry and then: extreme-couching ;-)... At 7 pm I slept in front of the TV and was wide awake at 22 pm ;-)... I did some "Club-stuff" and then went to bed.

On Sunday we had brunch with Mom, Dad and some family before my parents and I went to the sports field to watch our mens team lose :|

Yesterday, it was some surfing, couching and cleaning ;-)... my appartment is shining now

I made music on Friday and Saturday with some friends. On Sunday we visited my father-in-law. He is in rehab in Baden.

When I was at home I was very busy. Therefore I miss the chance to have some fun with another friends. They baked onion tarte in a "Backhaus". But I was too tired for it. :|

I worked as hard as I hadn't done for months or years. A friend of mine, or better, my neighbours partner, has decided to move from his own 50m²-flat to a small flat under the roof of the block of flats next to us. So he can have his private rooms, even if he spends most of the days and nights with his girl-friend.
Due to certain circumstances (death of a near family member only a few weeks ago) he only one week ago started to sort his things. I had told him that I am good in packing books. So I was accepted as help for one day (last Friday) to put his dusty books (about 20 m) into boxes. Finally, I was also allowed to pack all other paper ware, including looking it through and throughing away anything not needed any more (and I was busy with that all Saturday long). Other friends helped to pack the kitchen equimpment, his aquarium equipment, his modell car collection and so on. Since the guy obviously had decided not to through away any single piece during the past 20 years, we had a lot of fun ... ;-)
Finally, yesterday we carried about one hundred boxes down the four stairs and drove them to our garage. Next weekend we will do the same with the furniture.
