A man's dream, or? :ausheck:

Some women's dream, too, isn't it?

They're all beasts. But some can be tamed...

By the way, I'll be a grasswidow on Saturday, as my husband is joining some friends at a motorcyclists meeting. Great! Sometimes a woman needs a break.

Great idea - I will pop in when I find some time.

Oops! Took a while, Marada...
at first I though you meant 'popping in at my house on saturday' - You're always welcome

Not this weekend, I'm afraid - we will sing a concert (in "Watering" - in case someone wants to come over and listen) on Sunday and I have to sew a few scarfs and bow ties before then ... I have a day off tomorrow and will be playing with my sewing machine probably the entire Friday and Saturday.

Oh, that's the costumes you were talking about in Butzbach?

Re: Yes, we can ...

Do 1. Okt 2009, 14:40

Hm, what costumes did I mention in Butzbach? I don't remember.
This will be more or less our dress rehearsal for our Italian Tour later this month - yes, we will sing in Verona ...
We will be dressed in black pants and black shirts/blouses, with burgundy red scarfs for the ladies and ties and those whatchamacallits around the waist for the guys.

Marada, what are you going to sing in Verona? You're not telling us you guys will sing in the opera there, are you?

I'm off now, shopping for food with my "little one" for her birthday on Saturday.

What a nice Fred,we should do this regularly ( Caro, again on of these adverbs that seem so funny  ) it really will be a good exercise for all of us-o.k.I have to admit with exception of our "Cracks"

Have a nice weekend!!

BTW: Yesterday I had lunch with my Brit and she said it is "to help someone to do something". Without the "to" it is colloquial English.

Just to let you know, as we all want to learn in this thread!

Texi, you and your adverbs are driving me mad!

:pfeif: I really don't know why,Caro.

I had no idea Caro has a problem with adverbs - do you want to talk about it, Caro? 8-)

Brösli,it's me who sometimes has a problem with adverbs.I just look at them when I have written them down, then I think "How funny that looks" and then I get insecure whether it is correct or not.Oh,I love my Caro-Helpdesk :bussi:

Ehh - I would love to leave that uncommented so that everyone thinks that we are really singing in the Arena di Verona ... One of the guys in our company really believes that, and I never said so ... I will not explain more to him ...

No, we will be singing in a small church somewhere in the area. But most of all it will be a nice vacation at Lake Garda with trips to Venice and Verona.

Sounds nice anyway. I like the atmosphere in small churches better than in grand places.

We once sang a concert in the Dome of Trier. The place was full, as it was some kind of religious holiday, but I never got in touch with the audience as they were so far away. On top of everything people kept coming in and leaving during the whole concert so that there was this underlying noise all the time. (The Dome is very popular for sight-seeing purposes, obviously, and this could not be prevented.

On the other hand, we had wonderful concerts in small churches - even though the audience may not look as impressive, the contact is there and the sound is often better and it's - well, just cosier. ;-)
