No, seriously, somebody suggested to start a thread in English and I thought I'd give it a go. Does anybody want to join in?

I think, this can offer a good opportunity in training our English and get some more vacabularies for me.

However, maybe at first we should agree in if and what kind of mistakes should be corrected by our experienced folks?

How about your plans for the weekend?

I will spend my time with my husband and will be on travel. Maybe I take the time on friday afternoon to look for some new shoes, especially some boots for the winter time.

I will colour the wood on our house. We have to do this 3 times. First time is finished. Today and tomorrow I will colour second time.
Furthermore I want to cake a plumcake (Zwetschgenkuchen).
Perhaps I am also able to mow the lawn.

The other time I want to relaxe in the garden, on the sofa or where ever the place seems to be perfect.

By now I am quite well trained thanks to my Brit and yesterday I joined an international translators' conference in English ... thank heaven the last two lectures and presentations were in British English!

Furthermore, I have to do a translation into English later and another from English into German.

This thread will surely help me to get in to it again!

BTW: May Brösli, Helmine and I propose corrections and give explanations in German? It might be easier to unstand for those who want to learn.
